Help Preserve Our Past and Inspire Our Future

Avon Scouts has a rich history built by thousands of young people and volunteers over many decades. From camp photographs and event programmes to badges, records and memorabilia, these items tell the story of Scouting across our County.

We are now looking for volunteers to join our Heritage Team and help review, preserve and celebrate our history.

What You’ll Do

As a member of the Heritage Team, you will help to:

  • Review historical artefacts and records
  • Catalogue and organise heritage collections
  • Preserve important items for future generations
  • Support the celebration of Avon Scouts’ history and achievements

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need to be a historian to get involved. We would love to hear from people who:

  • Have an interest in history and heritage
  • Are organised and enjoy working with records and collections
  • Want to make a lasting contribution to Avon Scouts
  • Have a few hours to spare and a passion for preserving stories

Why Volunteer?

By helping to preserve our heritage, you’ll play an important role in ensuring that future generations can learn from, celebrate and be inspired by the achievements of Scouts and volunteers who came before them.
