Scouting Districts in Avon

Avon Scout County is one of the largest Scout Counties in the UK.  We have more than 11,000 members and about 4,000 volunteers. We cover a large area that includes Bristol in the centre of the Scout County, Weston Super Mare in the south and the area surrounding Thornbury in South Gloucestershire to the North. It also takes in the City of Bath and the towns of Nailsea, Portishead and Keynsham.

To make this large area more manageable we section it into nine Scouting Districts.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
