Avon Scouts seeks new Chair and Trustee Board members

Are you ready to: 

Meet new people, develop yourself, feel a sense of purpose, be involved in meaningful work, create opportunities for the next generation?

Then why not consider becoming a trustee or chair for Avon Scout.

Successful candidates will be a creative thinkers, able to work as part of a team and solve problems effectively. They will have strong communication skills and be able to participate in discussions with independent judgment. Ideally, the Trustee will bring an understanding of the different communities that Avon Scouts works in (Bristol, Bath, North & North East Somerset and South Gloucestershire).

Ahead of this year’s AGM in September applications to join the board of Avon Scouts as a Trustee or as Chair are open until end of June 2024.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
