A Weekend of Fun and Adventure at Woodhouse Park

Date: 26th Feb 2024 Author: Cathy Harding

On Saturday, we had an Adventure Day for Beaver Scouts, where they got to experience a range of exciting and challenging activities, such as mini crossbows, climbing, crate stacking, and more. They also learned some valuable skills, such as teamwork, communication, and resilience. It was great to see them having so much fun and overcoming their fears.

On Sunday, we had a Picnic in the Park for Squirrel Scouts, which was the first time we ran this event. It was a lovely day to enjoy the outdoors and make new friends. The Squirrels had a blast playing games, doing crafts, and exploring the nature trail.  They even got to meet some of the Woodhouse Park staff and volunteers, who were very friendly and helpful.

Both events were a huge success, and we received a lot of positive feedback from the participants and their parents. We want to thank everyone who helped to make these events possible, especially the Woodhouse Park team, who were very accommodating and supportive. We also want to thank the Beaver and Squirrel leaders, who did a fantastic job in  supervising their young people with the activities.

If you missed these events, don’t worry, there are more to come! Woodhouse Park Activity Centre has a lot to offer for scouts of all ages and abilities. You can check out their Woodhouse Park Activity Centre Website for more information and booking details. Some of the upcoming events include:

Until next time, stay safe and happy scouting! 😊
