Neurodiversity and Young People

Date: 25th February 2025 Location: Woodhouse Park Activity Centre Sections: Adult Volunteer
Would you like to find out more about neurodiversity and its impact on young people in Scouting? If so, then we’d love to see you at our evening session on 25th February 2024 7pm – 9:30pm at Woodhouse Park.

The evening will explore what neurodiversity is, how you can identify young people with neurodiversity challenges and what you may be able to do to support those challenges. The evening will be interactive, giving you the chance to explore the complex world some of our young people face and share those challenges with fellow leaders.

Our evening will be run by Cathy Harding and Louise Madden. Between them, they have experience of supporting and assisting leaders in helping their young people through the difficulties they face and are both National Inclusion Team .

If you’d like to join us, please sign up here  and we look forward to seeing you at Woodhouse Park. If you have any questions in the meantime please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Andy Hobbs, Cathy Harding or Louise Madden.
HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
