Introduction to Hillwalking with Scouts Course

Our classic Introduction to Hillwalking in the Scout Association, is designed for Avon County Scout Leaders and Network members who want to learn the basics to take young people out walking anywhere.  No previous experience required.  We plan to start with a classroom session at Mafeking Hall in Pilning in the morning before relocating to the Black Mountains for an afternoon session out on the hill.  We will cover the basic skills and Scouting specific aspects (POR) with ample opportunity to practice these in a relaxed enjoyable environment. Cost – £15 per person (plus the cost of sharing lifts to the Black Mountains).
