Avon County Scouts Cooking Competition 2024

Date: 5th Feb 2024 Author: Cathy Harding

What a fantastic day we had at the Avon County Scouts Cooking Competition 2024. The event took place on 4th February at the Keynsham Scout HQ, where the teams of talented young chefs showed off their culinary skills. The challenge was to prepare a three-course meal in two hours, using ingredients from different countries and regions.

The judges – Andy, Wilf and Gary – had a tough time deciding the winners, as they tasted delicious dishes such as Greek Salads, Souvlaki, Provençal Chicken, Doughnuts and Cheesecake. They were impressed by the creativity, presentation and flavour of the food, as well as the teamwork and hygiene of the participants. The results were announced, and the winners were 69th Bath, followed by 1st Stoke Gifford OSR as runners up.

We congratulate all the teams for their amazing efforts and thank them for making this event so enjoyable. We also thank the organizer’s, volunteers for their support.

We hope to see you all again next year for another exciting cooking competition on Sunday 2nd Feb 2025!
