Site services & Infrastructure

My team and I are excited to be able to transform North Somerset Showground from an empty field to our home for the Avon Adventure Jamboree 2020.

Before we can call it our home, there is a lot to be done to ensure the site works for everyone who is attending. In the run-up to the event, we are working closely with the wider members of the Jamboree team to achieve this.

TIMELINE

18th – 22th May 2020

The adventure starts, well for the build team. We get North Somerset Showground handed to us and the team will begin to work their magic to transform the field into a home.

20th & 21st May 2020 (Evenings only)

Groups with have access to the site to pitch tents

22nd – 25th May 2020

The build team sit back and relax as their job is done (kidding!). The Jamboree takes place and the build team move into their support roles including security, health and safety and site maintenance.

25th – 27th May 2020

All good things have to come to an end. As you say goodbye to your new friends and we wave you fair well, the build team will start to take down infrastructure.

28th May 2020

The site will be handed back to North Somerset Showground.

Build friendships, make memories and take pictures but leave only footprints.

The magic does not happen on its own. If you have a partial skill or are able to provide or donate a service, piece of equipment or infrastructure, please get in touch with Kevin Watson (DCC – Site Services and Infrastructure) now.
