Avon Unit The adult team leading the Avon Unit for the next World Jamboree have now been selected. Those leading the Unit are: Alan Bartlett, Kathryn Challis, Ali Kattana, and Kevin Watson. The Team would like to have the opportunity to visit each Scout Troop and Explorer Scout Unit in the County with a short DVD and a presentation. If you’d like the Team to visit your Troop or Unit then please email wsj2011@avonscouts.org.uk The hope is that the presentations will inspire lots of young people to attend the World Jamboree activity day on Saturday 13 March at Woodhouse Park. This day will be an interesting and fun day for the young people where they will have the chance to try lots of activities. The first meeting for the Avon WSJ unit is scheduled for 17 April 2010, and our first camp is booked for 30th April to 3rd May 2010. International Service Team Applications have now closed to be part of the IST for the Jamboree. Shortlisted candidates have been contacted and invited to attend one of a series of selection days being held around the country during January and February (including locally on 14 February).
