Avon Scouts: Sunrise Weston-super-Mare

	Beach Party & Sunrise Wednesday 1st August 2007 Beach and Beach Lawns, Weston-super-Mare

Sunrise Promise Renewal at 8.00am
plus other times during the day linking with other Countries

Party Starts at 11.00am, finishing at 5.00pm

Events will include Sand Castle Competition, Beach Volleyball, Beach Rounders, Beach Football, Parachute Games, Tug of War, Face Painting, Woggle Making and lots more

There will be a series of District based “Villages” on the Beach Lawns

   Siblings may participate in this event provided they register and have a health form.
   Please add names on registration form (if possible)
   Scouting vistors can also attend if they bring a health form.
   Parent/Guidians should also register and provide health form.
The above is necessary so that we can identify all those taking part in the event by the issue of a wristband. You're reminded that wristbands will be issued from the relevant 'District village' in return for a completed health form.

A key element of the Scouting activities worldwide on 1st August will be the renewing of the promise. This will take place at Weston-super-Mare at 8.00am on the Beach Lawns, and also at 11.00am and at 4.00pm to link up with other sunrises around the world.

The majority of activities will take place between 11.00am and 5.00pm. However, to meet the needs of the local groups and in particular local leaders on their way to work etc.,. there would be a small and informal Sunrise Ceremony at 8.00am. There will be activities available between the 8.00am Sunrise Ceremony and the main activities starting at 11.00am.
