Network at the North Pole: have you got what it takes?

Added 24/08/2012 test

Once in a lifetime opportunity

This is a once in a lifetime and very exciting opportunity for Scout Network members and young scout leaders. You could follow in the footsteps of our very own local Scout ambassador and polar explorer, Ed Coats.

Wez Swain with support from Cornish Scouting is leading the first ever Scout expedition to the North Pole. Wez, along with 3 Scout Network members from the South West, guided by 2 professional polar guides, ski the last 2 degrees of latitude (approx 120miles) to the Geographic North Pole in one of the harshest environments on the planet.

Apply to take part

The 'Scouts on the Pole' team are currently recruiting applicants from the scout counties of Avon, Cornwall, Dorset, Devon and Somerset. If you or someone you know are interested, please email for an information and application form.

Closing date for applications is Wednesday 30th Sept, with selection weekend in October.
