Added 03/03/2014 test

Update: We are very pleased to announce that this position has now been filled. If you feel you could add something special to our technology team though, please feel free to contact Ashley Russell at Or if you are interested in getting involved with scouting, take a look at our other opportunities here.

Avon County Scouts are looking for an experienced IT professional to offer technical support to our county office staff. This person will help an already successful charity to further achieve its role to challenge and inspire young people, by ensuring a solid IT infrastructure for our staff who give administrative support to our 4,000 volunteers.

They will be responsible for ensuring our office's IT infrastructure is kept up-to-date and maintained effectively including the management of software, backups and user accounts. They should also be able to field general technical queries from staff. They will not be required to provide emergency, business critical support as this will be handled by an IT services supplier.

Someone interested in this role should have a knowledge of Windows administration (including Active Directory), backups and have strong inter-personal skills. They will be directly line managed by the County Scouter for Technology and will have a firm induction before starting in the role.
