HEALTH I know that many of you remain concerned at the jabs you will need for the trip next year. There is a terrific amount of detail on the national jamboree web page (www.scoutbase.org.uk/inter/jambo/thailand). As far as I can see the main message is that whilst the Scout Association can pass on general advice, each Scout must see their own GP for advice on their individual medical circumstances. As soon as I know our intended home hospitality country I will let you know as this will impact on your medical preparations. I realise that not everyone has access to the World Wide Web and I assure you I will be circulating information from time to time to keep you informed. As the team develops we will need to discuss aspects of health, hygiene and general standards. This will also need to include references to sexual health. I have no wish to offend. If you are uncomfortable or concerned about this, please speak to the leaders in confidence.Andy |
