Piano Bash Rules Print

The objective of the Intense Piano Bash is to dismantle a real piano into small pieces and post it through the letter box. The team which clears their piano first is the winner.


The following rules must be obeyed to at all times:

  1. All people wishing to take part in the Intense Piano Bash must be wearing the following personal protective equipment (PPE):
    • Boots or steel toe capped shoes
    • Full length trousers
    • Eye protection (Will be provided)
    • Gloves (Will be provided)
    • Hard Hat (Will be provided)
  2. There will two types of rounds: 'Bashing' and 'Clearing'
  3. Rounds will alternate
  4. Only clearing and posting can be done in a 'Clearing round'
  5. Only bashing or using hand tools can be done during a 'Bashing round'
  6. Maximum of 2 people in the piano bashing area at any one time:
    • 1 person when bashing or using tools
    • 2 people when clearing
  7. Only tools provided may be used
  8. If any tool become damaged or breaks, the user must stop and inform the marshals and the tool will be removed (We may replace it if there are spares available)
  9. When a whistle is sounded everyone must stop what they are doing
  10. A member of staff will be assigned to each piano to ensure everything is being carried out safely. They must be obeyed!
  11. Intense Organisers decision is final
