Avon Scout and Guide Canoe Club

The ASGCC is based at Benjamin Perry Boathouse, the Scout and Guide Activity Centre in the City Docks at Redcliffe Wharf.  Access is from Lower Guinea Street, passing the 'Ostrich' Public House then bearing to the right and continuing for 100 metres, or by descending the steps from Redcliffe Parade. Weekday evening sessions (Mon to Thurs). Kayak and/or Open Canoe.

Bookings and enquiries to Denise Kay, 0117 986 9490, canoeclub@avonscouts.org.uk. From May to August, 6.45 ‑ 9.00 pm.  £20 for 8 people, £2 for each additional person if you can supply an authorised leader to supervise them.  All equipment is provided.

 

Canoe Games Night, Friday 9 Jul 2004, £2 per person. A fun evening trying different events; enter as a team of 5 or less & be put in a team on the night.

 

Marathon Training & Open Canoe Taster session, Thursday 3 Jun 2004, this is a taster session to have a go in a marathon kayak or an Open Canoe, £2 per person.

 

Sessions with - FULL after them mean all the places have been booked that night. Pend - status means we have been asked to do that date but not confirmed.

When booking you need to chose if your doing Open boats or Kayaks. Open boats (sometimes called Canadians) are large boats with 2 people in each (one at the front and one at the back) Kayaks are smaller plastic boats with one person in each.
