Thanks!
One of the things that must be said is a BIG Thank
You to all those people who put in a HUGE effort to give everybody a weekend to enjoy. OK The rain made things difficult, but the people involved doubled
their efforts. So thanks to:
- Neil Salter (Camp Chief)
- Daniel Comerford (Infrastructure Chief)
- Phil Woolcock (Activities Chief)
But we musn't forget the valiant efforts of the others:
- Sue for her efforts booking people in - with booking forms dropping in right up to the last minute. Thankless job. Well done, and .... THANKS!
- The Site Services team - for battling against the rain, the mud, cars, tractors, lorries, people, and just about everything else. Thanks guys.
- The Security team - for stopping people going around the site, making the site muddy, and generally just being security. It must be said that somebody forgot to feed one of the teams. Ooops!
- The Activities teams - for their efforts in keeping the activities running, despite the torrential and regular rain
- The Medical team for putting everybody back together, or at least ensuring all the pieces were delivered to the hospital.
- Everybody else who did things, loaned things, gave time (and money) - you are too numerous to mention, but every little bit made a big difference to the camp.
- The Scouts and Guides for coming and enjoying getting muddy
- The Parents for letting them!
- And of course - Lord Wraxall for letting us use (trash?) his land. Without him it would have been difficult to get so many people into one place.
And there's all the people and companies that have helped with donations, kit and expertise
- Eagle FM
- Cadbury's
- Ken White Graphics
- Pearce Retail Services Ltd
- Scout Shops
- Barclays Bank
- Graham Builders Merchants
- Sureway Scaffolding
- Focus DIY, Clevedon
- W M Staddon and Sons
- Travis Perkins
- Phil Cooks
- Charlie Atherton
- M K Scaffolding
And Finally...
We must thank those who have contributed to the web page! They are: Paul Powell, Mike Elcock, Alex, Clive and Caroline Sandrey, Ruth Elmore, and Graham Rhodes, plus all the young people who tried their hand at web development.
