The EventNot one but two events in one! The main event will be hosted at Ashton Court, Bristol and will kick off at 10am on Saturday 7th May 2011 with a promise renewal ceremony and entertainment, followed by a day of activities culminating in a district tea party. At the same time as the Ashton Court event we will also be holding an event aimed at the older Scouts and Explorers at the City Docks. This second event will be centred around the water activity groups on the docks. Activities at Ashton Court will include activities aimed at all age groups from Beavers through to Network (and all those in between). There will be activities to challenge you, activities to make you think, activities to learn more about the world in which we live but most importantly they will all be great fun! The Bear HuntWe hope to get a number of famous Bears to pop in to visit us on the day so be ready with your autograph book and you might even get meet the UK Scouts most famous bear... The UK Chief Scout, Bear Grylls has confirmed he will be visiting the Bear Hunt! He will be visiting both the Ashton Court and Bristol Docks site. We ran a competition and have selected the four Explorer Scouts to host him and show him around.
We would like to thank the following companies for their support with the Bear Hunt:
