The aims of Bath Spa SSAGO are to:

a) provide a social framework within which friends may exchange ideas informally and maintain, renew or acquire an interest in the principles of Scouting and Guiding at Bath Spa University;

b) aid the personal development of members, by engaging them in high-level activities, working towards Scouting and Guiding awards and participating in nationally recognised award programmes such as the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and Trident;

c) render service as a Club to Scouting and Guiding and to the community within Bath and Wansdyke (our local Districts);

d) create links with other SSAGO clubs, offering opportunities of exchange and learning from others in a process of self review;

e) utilise the special training of its members in critical appraisal and discussion of all aspects of the Movements and by research, a sensitivity to new ideas in the field of youth work, and the presentation of suggestions towards improving the quality and effectiveness of the Movements.
