Folks,

As I come to the end of my term as County Commissioner and having carried out my last tasks (litter picking and the listing of the lost property from Saturday's Bear Hunt) can I just take this opportunity to thank you all for the support and encouragement that you have given me over the last 10 years. Being County Commissioner of Avon Scouts has been a great privilege and hopefully during my tenure we have made some small steps forward in ensuring that Avon Scouts provides ‘Better Scouting to More Young People’. What we have achieved as a County during this period could not have happened without your support and dedication and for that you have my heartfelt thanks.

I would also like to thank you all for the kind gift I received yesterday and for the messages of thanks that went with it I was truly humbled.  

I am sure that under Dan’s leadership the County will prosper and grow and that Avon Scouts will continue to be a force of good for the young people in the area.
