Avon’s County Commissioner, Dan Wood has launched a blog on this website to keep in touch with you.  The blog will be regularly updated and will feature articles about Scouting across the County. 

The blog will be used to showcase outstanding examples of Scouting and to enable the County Commissioner to connect with you on issues to do with the development and growth of Scouting in Avon.  You will be able to join the discussion by commenting on blog posts.  You are encouraged to share your ideas and successes. 

The introduction of this blog is a very small part of the work we will do over the coming 12 months to improve communications with you.  Dan says his goal is to ensure all our members “feel much better communicated with”. 

A Deputy County Commissioner will soon be appointed to lead on Marketing and Communications.  A plan will be developed and a wider team will be put in place to implement this.  In mid-late autumn a number of workshops will take place to develop ideas and to identify people who are interested in contributing.  There will be information on this soon.
