How is The Scout Association Equal Opportunities Policy relevant to the provision of Scouting with regards to young people with Special Needs? Who has the responsibility for the provision of access within a District for young people with Special Needs? What resources are available to support you regarding the provision of Scouting for young people with Special Needs? What general principles should you be aware of in relation to Special Needs in Scouting?

| To validate this module the learner will need to complete two of the following |
Provide evidence of commitment to those with Special Needs by an appropriate method, such as accepting and integrating a Scout with Special Needs into Scouting. Run an ad hoc base on Special Needs at an event or training session. Lead and participate in a discussion item on Special Needs at a Group or District Leader’s meeting. Identify the needs of your area for Special Needs support and advise. Any other ideas, subject to agreement with Training Adviser. and Explain The Scout Association’s policy on those with Special Needs.
