We're here to help you improve your skills, get trained and be
inspired. Our experienced unit provides a range of courses to
suit different needs. We can help you get started as a beginner or
develop more advanced skills.
Courses cover all sorts of topics, conditions and settings with
both practical experience and theory. Whether you're learning the
basics, brushing up on your skills, preparing for assessment or
simply wanting to experience something new with qualified leaders,
we have something for you. But, of course, our main aim is to
inspire and equip volunteers to be able to deliver and expand
Scouting adventures to even more young people.
You might ask, 'why are mountain activities so special?' If
you've ever experienced the power and beauty of the moors, hills or
mountains, you'll know they can take your breath away with their
beauty. Wonder, imagination, achievement, exploration and escape -
just some of the things that young people can learn in these
magnificent settings. With the help of skilled leaders this can
translate into confidence, resilience, teamwork, determination and
leadership skills. Once they've got the taste for adventure, it
becomes a mindset for life.
